Medical Gas Verifier

Sherman Engineering is a 100% Employee Owned Company. Sherman Engineering was established in 1920 and specializes in air compressors and vacuum pump systems throughout various industries including Medical Gas, Lab, Biotech, and Pharmaceutical. Our territory expands across NY, NJ, PA, DE, MD and Washington DC.
The Medical Gas Verifier position requires a current ASSE 6030 certification. A strong mechanical ability to diagnose, repair, and rebuild pumps and compressors as well as pipeline equipment is helpful but not required. The Medical Gas Verifier must have strong organizational and communication skills and be able to work independently.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Respond to assigned verifications, annual inspections and repairs
  • Night and weekend work is routinely required
  • Determine parts, supplies, and tools needed to complete verification requests
  • Communicate with customers and service coordinators multiple times a day
  • Complete all required paperwork on a daily basis
  • Manage vehicle inventory and restock as necessary
  • Follow specific manufacturer, Federal, State, and OSHA Safety Guidelines
  • Expense account, work vehicle, other necessary equipment will be provided by Sherman Engineering

 

Field Service Technician

Sherman Engineering is a 100% Employee Owned Company. Sherman Engineering was established in 1920 and specializes in air compressors and vacuum pump systems throughout various industries including Medical, Lab, Biotech, and Pharmaceutical. Our territory expands across NY, NJ, PA, DE, MD and Washington DC.

The Field Service Technician position requires a strong mechanical ability to diagnose, repair, and rebuild pumps and compressors. Requirements include knowledge of three phase electrical as well as electrical controls and root cause analysis skills. The Service Technician must have strong organizational and communication skills and be able to work independently.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Respond to assigned customer service calls, diagnose problems and make appropriate repairs
  • Determine parts, supplies, and tools needed to complete service requests
  • Communicate with customers and service coordinators multiple times a day
  • Ensure that service commitments are met within standard response time
  • Execute Preventative Maintenance Contracts
  • Complete all required paperwork on a daily basis
  • Manage vehicle inventory and restock as necessary
  • Follow specific manufacturer, Federal, State, and OSHA safety guidelines
  • Training for ASSE 6000 Series and factory training will be provided
  • Expense account, work vehicle, other necessary equipment will be provided by Sherman Engineering
